My Favorite Flash Fiction of the Week

  • The Little Thing in the Bottle, by S.R. Mastrantone. I love the uncertainty here, and the incorporation of the outside voices. Strong writing!
  • Lot’s Wife, by Rebecca King. Love the salt theme and the emotional impact it weaves through the whole piece
  • Trivial Pursuit, by Paul Crenshaw. Some great description and characterization of a family in this piece.
  • Happy Endings, a classic by Margaret Atwood. An example of when an experimental form perfectly matches the story’s subect
